Dear LX Jiu-Jitsu Family,

As part of Phase 2 of Governor Abbot’s Plan, we are getting ready to reopen the school on May 18th, 2020 as the state prepares to open sports facilities, gyms, and martial arts schools and loosen restrictions and health guidelines. We will be coming back with a modified schedule until we get back completely to normal. Our Commitment is to keep well-informed regarding the rules and to keep our students well-informed on the schools steps to reopening. Your continuous support is greatly appreciated and helps us keep the school going during these difficult economic times. As the first and only Authentic Gracie Jiu-Jitsu school in the Sugar Land and surrounding areas, we will continue our mission by sharing Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at its purest essence and form, while continuing to do, as we always have done, to provide our students, family members, and guests with a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
Here is some important information about your membership/tuition in these extraordinary times:
Our Modified Schedule: Adult classes will be held at their regular times during the week. Kids classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday, Little Wizards I class from 5:30pm to 6:05pm (Ages 4-7) and Little Wizards II from 6:15 to 7pm (Ages 8-11). Monday and Wednesday we will be holding a Virtual Kids Class via Zoom as well as the Junior Wizards class from 5:30-6:30pm.
If you have been financially impacted by the Pandemic and lost your job, please contact Professor Leo so he can work out a plan for you to continue to train during these tough times.
To our students with active memberships, as soon as the school reopens we will be offering “Free of Charge” make-up classes, small group classes, seminars and other events for all those actives students. Please contact Professor Leo to talk about your options or if you have any questions. Kids will be able to make up classes on Monday and Wednesday (*or just one day of the days*) during our 5:30pm class time. The kid’s virtual class via Zoom will also be Monday & Wednesday at 5:30pm for make-up classes for those who would like to attend class without contact/physical attendance.
We will allow you to bring your own hand sanitizer and protective masks if you would like. We will continue to provide the school with hand sanitizer as we have done in the past. You may also bring in your own Jiu-Jitsu grappling dummy for non-contact training as long as it does not have any metal pieces used in its construction.
All Students must wear clean clothes and uniform to class and maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, and those who cannot abide by those guidelines will be asked to leave due to the safety of all our students.
Students, family members, guests, and visitors who have had a fever or any flu like symptoms, should stay home for at least 14 days, which is recommended by health professionals, until symptoms have cleared or gone away. This is for the safety of all our instructors, students, and their families.
If you have any questions, problems, or concerns, please contact one of the instructors or assistants.

We look forward to seeing everyone and coming out of this stronger in the end!
