Empowerment & Awareness
If you are looking for a fun way to meet other people and get exercise in a group environment while also learning valuable basic self-defense techniques, the S.A.F.E. class is perfect for you. In addition to the social and fitness benefits, you will increase your ability to deal with physical, mental, and emotional adversity in their everyday life. For your own benefit, consider S.A.F.E.™️ – Self Defense, Awareness, Fitness, and Empowerment.
S.A.F.E.™️ is for women, children, and men with or without athletic ability and strength, individuals with no self defense training, and experienced martial artists. In short, this training is for anyone who would like to be better able to protect themselves and their loved ones, become more aware of their potential for success in times of discomfort and hardship, increase their physical mobility, and empower themselves to be able to confidently make positive and healthy choices in their daily lives.
S.A.F.E.™️ is an introduction to the concepts, strategies, and techniques needed for effective self defense without involving martial arts tradition, formats, uniforms, and rank. The techniques covered build on each of these fundamental concepts and skills: base, connection, weight distribution, ability to perform under pressure, situational awareness, increased confidence, sharper reflexes, proper timing, distance management, ground avoidance, ability to escape from being pinned to the ground, kidnapping prevention, and sexual assault prevention. The techniques address some of the most common self defense scenarios ranging from preventing an unwanted touch, to preventing abduction, to surviving a violent assault. The carryover into everyday life is far-reaching because the skills and concepts needed to survive a violent encounter lead to success in every aspect of life.
This course was developed by Professor Leonardo Xavier, one of the premier Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructors in the world. He is widely recognized as an expert in his field and has condensed his years of teaching experience into S.A.F.E. Demand for his teaching is ever expending, and with S.A.F.E. his teachings are covering the globe. Read his full bio here.
